About me
Building a Smarter and Enhanced User-Friendly Security World
I am currently a Computer Science Ph.D candidate at the University of Buffalo under the supervision of Professor Zhanpeng Jin at the Cyber-Med Laboratory. Prior to joining UB, I obtained both my Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University.
My professional focus centers on devising potent and intelligent solutions to address contemporary challenges, and I thrive in collaborative team environments. In line with this commitment, I have held roles such as a deep learning research intern specializing in generative AI (LLM) at CardioPhi LLC. Additionally, I served as a research engineer in the autonomous driving department at the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) in South Korea.
My current research aspirations include but are not limited to:
- Human-computer Interaction (HCI)
- Human sensing
- Wearable/Mobile computing
- Generative AI (Large Language Model)
- Biometrics
- Anomaly detection (Outlier analysis)
- Machine Learning and AI
- Computer vision.
The overarching goal of my research is to enhance individuals’ lives smarter and more secure with the innovative sensing modalities and deep learning models. Specifically, my objectives include:
- Implementing user authentication through common wearable/mobile devices
- Enhancing the understanding of user behavior, such as facial expressions
